I just learned about astral projection last week. I went online and looked at hundreds of pages on it. I even read all of that 167 page book on it by the guy at www.astralprojectnow.com. I have tried the rope technique and the monroe technique. Both have failed. I learned today about the 'waking up in a dream' technique. I will try that tonight. If you know any other techniques I can try that I do not have to wait until I wake up, please tell me. Thanks.

What I do:

Lay on my back. Get comfortable. Say prayers of protection because this can be dangerous sometimes. Oh yah in the dark when I am not tired cuz I will fall asleep. So then Inhale, hold till I need to breath but comfortable, then exhale very slowly. I look through my closed eyes and see myself falling slowly down. I usually count backwards. 10 to 0. a few times until I feal floaty. Then I imagine myself somewhere I feel conected to. Usually the back yard or the woods where I grew up. Then I am out.

Oh yeah this takes a long time to develope.

I have recently been trying and thinking about astral projecting before going to bed. I have still not been successful about this but I have had some lucid dreams. As I know I am dreaming though, I wake up. What I was hoping is that I could use these lucid dreams to aid me in astral projecting. Does anyone know why I wake up once I know I am dreaming?

I am trying an interesting training program for projection, I will document my progress online in my astral projection diary blog. If you want to follow along, feel free to join me on my journey. I would love to read your comments in my diary.

Right then. www.astraldynamics.com .

There is a man named Robert Bruce. He is the most amazing metaphyacist ever and has written books, classes, and made a webpage based on his personal experiences. Very active forum with many active members who are well versed in the ways of the Astral Planes.

For the record, there is no danger at all in "Leaving your Body" or inducing an OBE. Read up on the "Mind Split" effect. If saying prayers help you relax and all, coolio... But otherwise, your wasting your time and looking silly.
